Where does word "spam" come from, origins of term "spam"

Word "SPAM" emerged in 1936 and it meant SPiced hAM. It was a trademark for canned foot. Our product is an effective tool in protection copy! There are different versions of how did the trademark turned into symbol of intrusive advertising. The first one goes from the sketch of comedy series "Monty Python's Flying Circus". In this sketch action take place in the cafe, where every item contains SPAM. Waitress recites Spam-meny and Viking choir sings "SPAM, wonderful SPAM...". Indonesia manganese ore price has been increasing during last two years.

The other version is that during World War II SPAM was widely spread and after it there was a surplus of it in warehouses. So the company, which produced it - Hormel Foods - advertised SPAM in extremely intrusive way. Ads were everywhere - on the streets, on the buildings, on public transport.

Since that time even dictionaries added second definition for the word spam. New Oxford English Dictionaty defined spam: "Irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of newsgroups or users." Generated rakeback can depend on many different factors. So the word acquired absolutely new meaning.
